We are OPEN for the Season!
To convert square footage to yards, simply divide the total by nine. Then, call our office with the total number of yards you need to fill your job. Don't forget the mulch.
Proper soil preparation is the most important element in establishing a healthy, long-lasting bluegrass plant. You are transplanting a plant, and the root development depends solely on the soil it is planted in.
If you have very sandy soil, add two inches of either black dirt or clay to a depth of six inches mixing into the clay. Every site is different and if you do not know what type of soil you have, a soil sample analysis is advisable. We recommend a 15-23-10 or 13-13-13 fertilizer be added and tilled into the soil.
Rake and smooth the soil, removing rocks, roots, and large clods. Roll the area and reveal low areas that need more soil. Eliminate drainage problems by having the soil slope away from foundations. Keep the grade 1 1/2 to 2 inches below sidewalks or driveways.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours. We have mulch too!
